So we finally sold our Komatsu SK820-5n skid, which by the way was a great machine with good specs, and bought a JD 318D with 205 hours on it. It was purchased new by a small town near us to snowblow sidewalks and the occasional summer pothole repair. Hello, bought a 2012 John Deere 318D Skid steer with under 800 hour. Looked like a great deal until we found out that it was over heating all the time. The fan is run via hydraulics that is controlled by a valve with 3 solenoids. 1 solenoid has power the other 2 don't even after trying all the switches. I’m looking at a 2016 John Deere 318g it has 900hrs for 18,5 and from what I can see the only issues it has are good bit of surface rust and there’s a hrs Hydraulic hose near the bucket the is cut or damaged that he says was from a grapple. I will be using the skid steer for just normal chores around the property. Checked all sensors and switches and everything is functional. Drive and Reverse Functions No Issues. Pressure Test Hydraulic Pump for boom, bucket, and auxiliary which is separate from drive pump and has sufficient pressure (3000 psi +/-). Bucket will curl out but minimal. Boom totally locked.
Thanks for the manuals. Figured I would pay back what I learned from my 2010 318d manual controls John Deere issue. hours: 4300 Diesel 24044ht or whatever it is. problem: only the right stick reacted to movement, and brakes were locked up. No bucket, no boom.

John Deere 328 Ser # T00328A101821 Friends machine that I helped him a few times fixing hoses and o-rings. Today he changed a pipe from the boom that had a leak. Now the machine has forward reverse, but no boom up or down, No bucket curl either way. Think it is maybe a safety circuit problem with no power to a solenoid.
