My first skid was/is a 5635SXT. Turboed Duetz that's 80 horses. Good machine. about 4500 hours on him. It has the hand controls like a Case skidsteer. Next machine is a 7810E. What it won't do is skid steer tires. Just too heavy/stiff side walls. Can't remember doing tractor fronts like 11.00 X 16. Seems like they would be too big. Bead breaker will work on semi trk tires tho. Atv or utv tires are easy. Edited by farmerbroun 7/2/2016 14:10 So I shopped around a little and found a 2007 New Holland L170. No pilot controls, pedals on the floor. Simple simple simple. and much less to go wrong than on these newer joystick operated machines.. 1 year and about 300 hours later, it's been a GREAT machine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a case/new Holland skid steer after having ours. We have a Precision Mfg tree puller. Model 525. It's built very well and has pulled a lot of trees. On the bottom side where the latch pins go through, the steel is a little thin and after a lot of use it cracked. We beefed it up and should be good to go now.
