All i do is hit the parking brake button and it takes back off again. Parking brake engages while in motion. When this happens there is reverse pressure placed on the control arms and an absolutely excruciating sound of brake pads working against the forward moving motors. Background: When we first acquired the skid steer we had this issue and were able to track it down to the alternator having been rewired .

My 2003 Deere 260 series 2 will not move. Starts just fine. Bucket moves normally. Parking brake seems to disengage. The light goes off. Hydraulic fluid is full. When I try to go forward or in reverse, it seems to want to move, but it is like something is holding it . We went to go start it up today and move it and the parking brake light wont go off. the skid steer will move but parking brake is on and wont go off. the seat belt light goes off. we took the switch assebly off and put electric grease on it but it did nothing. any other ideas? hate to replace the switch and that not be it, but might be it? The parking brake solenoid has no diagnostics for checking for faults in the system. The solenoid will NOT be energized when there is an open circuit or a short to ground.
