After using the luck and plastic for the last few years on my off-road inspired Forester I decided to finally put together my own skid plate. I had always wanted to put together a homemade/diy skid plate but hadn’t had the time. Easy to build. Walk through a decent sized (skid steer) dealer or rental yard (that has a bunch of ssqa attachments) with your camera and notice the slight differences. All you need to watch (besides the obvious dimensions) is the angle of the top "hook" and IIRC it's 45 deg. and the bottom angle at the pin surface. In this episode I will show you how I made my homemade skid steer quick attach pallet fork frame for my tractor. I included the measurements in inch and mill.

I bought a piece of Aluminum diamond plate from Lowes yesterday - 2 ft x 4ft piece. Today I took advantage of the decent weather this morning and made my own skid plate for the rear. I used the rear two bolts to hold that end and made a 7/16" stud attached to the stock plate to hold the front. #1. Post your homemade attachments. Built a crane for my skid steer. Machine is rated around 2500 lbs load, 5000 lbs tipping. Mast is three stage telescopic. Has a lifting eye at the tip for slings, or can be used with a winch with the pulley at the tip. I ended up buying a skid steer bucket because it was easier than modifying the original kubota pin on bucket. With that being said the bucket was over sized and I scooped a load of sand one day.
