hello QuickTrax, I have installed the right side bucket tiltcylinder seal kit, thanks for the help, the gaskets worked great, i got the arm out and put it on the back bumber of an old truck and put a pin through an put a clamp on it, and supported the nut end with some timbers. However the hardened surfaces of the bearing could be gone and it could start to get worse quickly. This is only for vertical wear. Look for grease to be pouring out of the bearing (bad seal). also on larger excavators, I have seen lots of oil pouring out of the swing bearing because the swing motor seal blew out.

I was wondering where this ended up. I don't know anything about grease fitting sizes. I have to replace a couple on my Deere mini. I'm guessing they're metric because a metric socket fit perfect to remove them. The threads appear tapered. A couple appear to be 10mm tapered; or at least 10mm tapered fit.

I tell my blokes to grease the pins and bushes until the grease emerges between the bush and the frame. This pushes the old grease and dirt out and helps create a grease seal around the bush. It may look messy, but we also have original pins and bushes that have done 11 - 12,000 hours. The drivelines we grease around the 50 hour mark.
